Welcome to the Virtual Commons wiki! We are still in the midst of creating user and developer documentation regarding the various experiments created and supported by the Virtual Commons. If you have any questions about the Virtual Commons software or want to report bugs in the application, please feel free to add issues to our issue tracker or ask any questions on our mailing lists. User Documentation
There are two areas of development:
- The foraging and irrigation experiments are built on the csidex framework. These experiments have real-time interaction requirements and are client-server applications, with the Java experiment server deployed and executing on an accessible server and Java clients deployed via Java WebStart. For an example, see Foraging Deployment.
- Experiments built on the [vcweb] framework are being developed as database backed web applications that use Flash / Flex on the client side interacting with server side Java / JPA-enabled services.
